BID OPENING

Sealed Proposals for the following project

Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES

North and South Building Renovations SED PROJECT No. 26-92-00-00-0-002-023 SED PROJECT No. 26-92-00-00-0-001-022

will be received at the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES ESC Administration Building located at 3599 Big Ridge Road, Spencerport, NY 14559 on April 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM, at which place they will be publicly read aloud. 

Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished. Bids shall be mailed or hand delivered to:

This project will proceed under one (1) Lump Sum Prime Contract(s) including:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Renovations to various vocational classroom lab spaces, dust collection replacements, various office and miscellaneous renovations.

CONTRACT TIME

The date of commencement of the Work shall be within five (5) calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed.

The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work not later October 16th, 2025 PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

BID DOCUMENTS

Drawings and Specifications will be available for pick up on March 31, 2025 at Rotolite-Elliott Corporation, One Grove Street, Suite 123, New York 14534 upon receipt of a bid deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents requested. Checks shall be made payable to Monroe 2- Orleans BOCES.

Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable to Monroe 2- Orleans BOCES. Bid documents may also be examined at the following locations:

Plan Holders List will ONLY be available at the Dodge Reports and Builders Exchange of Rochester. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Dodge Reports and/ or Builders Exchange directly.

PRE-BID MEETING

A Pre-bid meeting and walk through will be held on April 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Administration Building, located at 3599 Big Ridge Road. All Bidders are urged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and Walkthrough. In case the Bidder is unable to attend the on-site Pre-bid walk through, a separately scheduled walk through can be arranged with the School District’s Facilities Department. Bidders are warned that if they arrive onsite without a prescheduled appointment on any day other than the Pre-bid Meeting and Walkthrough date and time, they will not be admitted to any of the District buildings and will be asked to leave the District property until such time that an appointment has been made.

REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS

The OWNER hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the OWNER.

BID SECURITY

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

NONCOLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE

A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included on each bid.

IRAN DIVESTMENT ACT CERTIFICATION

Specification Section 004000 – Iran Divestment Act Certification shall be included with each bid.

PREVAILING WAGE RATES

This is a prevailing wage rate job.

RETURN OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

Any Bidder, upon returning the Bidding Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days after date set for Bid opening will be refunded his deposit.
