LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

The Board of Education of Brockport Central School District (in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5A of the General Municipal Law) hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for: The BROCKPORT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (BCSD) invites bids for 2023 Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for the following contracts:

1.          Contract No. 101: General Construction

2.          Contract No. 102: Mechanical Work

3.          Contract No. 103: Plumbing Work

4.          Contract No. 104: Electrical Work

5.          Contract No. 105: Site Work

The project will consist of toilet room reconstructions, corridor lighting replacements, FACP, roof reconstruction and sitework including drainage upgrades, retaining wall, backstops, fencing upgrades and sidewalk reconstruction.

This work will take place at the following buildings:

1.          High School

2.          Middle School

3.          Barclay Elementary School

4.          Transportation Building

Separate sealed bids for the above Contracts can be mailed to BROCKPORT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (BCSD) Business Office, 40 Allen Street, Brockport, NY 14420 and need to arrive by 3:00 P.M., local time on Wednesday March 12th, 2025. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the District Technology and Training Center at 40 Allen Street, Building 800, Brockport, NY 14420. Bids received elsewhere in the District will be considered not received. Contract # and Project Name should be noted on the outside of envelope.

In the event of poor weather conditions preventing bid openings, an alternative date of

Thursday, March 13th, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. is scheduled.

The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the District Technology and Training Center at 40 Allen Street, Building 800, Brockport, NY 14420. Bids can be hand delivered to bid location prior to opening time.

Bid Documents

Drawings and Specifications will be available for pick-up February 11th, 2025 at Rotolite- Elliott Corporation, One Grove Street, Suite 123, PIttsford New York 14534 upon receipt of a bid deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents required. Checks shall be made payable to Brockport Central School District.

Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable to Brockport Central School District.

Plan Holders List will ONLY be available at Dodge Reports and Builders Exchange of Rochester. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Dodge Reports directly.

All questions in regard to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be made verbally. All requests for such information should be made in writing on the provided RFI Coversheet, addressed to LaBella Associates, 300 State St. #201, Rochester N.Y. 14614, Attn: Samantha Keene. SKeene@LaBellaPC.com.

*Note: All questions must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday March 5th, 2025. Responses will be distributed to all registered plan holders in the form of addendum.

A pre-bid walk-through for the Project will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the High School cafeteria at 40 Allen Street, Building 700 Brockport, New York, 14420. The meeting will review the project scope and procedures and will be followed by a tour to all project locations. In the event of poor weather conditions an alternative date of Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. is scheduled at the High School cafeteria at 40 Allen Street, Building 700 Brockport, New York, 14420.

Supplemental Bid Information

Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations, or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar

size and scope completed by the Bidder.

Bids shall be prepared as set forth in "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS", enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates.

Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS."

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening.

The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.

The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS".
